The text message thing made a huge difference. I had read that before but hadn't cleared them out for months. There's an app called SMSBackup and that lets you archive your texts, and that way you can feel free to delete the text messages more often, if you're concerned about saving them for some reason. I found that that the suggestion to delete long long text conversations worked like a champ. I was aware of all the other suggestions and am really good at keeping my phone optimized. I had no clue that deleting long threads would make such a difference. My screens refresh/draw much quicker. I am getting way less Force Closes on my apps and am happy with my G1 again. Thanks!
