Glympse enables you to send a snapshot of your current position for a specified period via text or email (hereinafter known as a ‘glympse’). Your friends can then tracked track you in real time using the Glympse web site via the link you’ve provided.

We reviewed the app a couple of weeks ago and were very impressed by the concept. If you haven’t checked it out yet, take a look. It’s one of the best geopositioning applications on the market and both the app itself and the associated web site are well designed – and actually quite useful.

A couple of days ago, a new version of Glympse was released which includes the option to twitter your ‘glympse’ as well as email or text it.  Not an earth shattering update, granted, but a nice additional touch and one more reason to try it.
