Alien Blood Bath 2 Lite
One-Liner
Fun (if a little short) traditional platformer.
Review
ABB2 is a basic run/jump/shoot 2D platformer the basic premise of which is ‘kill the baddies’ – in this case winged aliens – on the way to the level exit. This will be a familiar premise to any 80s kids out there but that’s not in any way meant as a criticism since what this game lacks in graphical wizardry it more than makes up for in playability.

Winged alien invaders fragged

Level 3 featuring killer sleeping bags
The only real drawback is that the Lite version provides only 3 relatively short levels to enjoy. So short, I guess most seasoned gamers will whizz through it in a couple of hours.
Controls couldn’t be simpler. A/S on the keyboard for left and right and J/K for shoot and jump. This latter might sound awkward but you quickly get used to it and the keyboard is definitely a better option than using the alternative touch screen controls which I couldn’t get on with at all.
One slight fly in the ointment is the occasional force close but this seems to be a result of switching between portrait and landscape formats mid-game so as long as you avoid that it’s not too much of a problem.
