One Liner
One of those handy little apps which just make life easier.

Summary
The G1 is a great device but one of the frustrations I find is that some of the options you need to change frequently (mainly to preserve battery life) are buried several layers down in the settings menu. There are a number of apps on the market which seek to address this and Useful Switchers is one of the better ones. Crappy name though.

The shortcuts it provides may only reduce the number of clicks required to perform an operation slightly – for instance 4 clicks to select 2G networks rather than 5 via the settings menu but – and this is important – you don’t have to remember that this option is buried (some would say hidden) in Settings -> Wifi-Controls -> Mobile Networks.

It’s much easier to demo than describe so here’s a quick vid.

There are two versions available from the app market, a free one and a ‘donate’ version which costs $2.99. We paid because it made us feel warm inside (and apparently the developer needs a new laptop). Come on kids, you know you want to!

Lets give this thing some stars!
